Eventually, most long-running series will have a season or storyline that feels rushed or uninspired – some fans even jokingly refer to this as a ‘gas leak year’ for the show Community. That’s why you’ll mostly find shows here that were consistently excellent throughout their entire run.
By 2025, The Conjuring: Last Rites was marketed as the final film in the series. The title itself suggested a conclusive ending to the Warrens’ story. The movie wrapped things up with a positive outcome for Ed and Lorraine, feeling like a natural conclusion to the entire universe of films.

A movie can be repulsive without actually being frightening, and vice versa.

What’s Eating Gilbert Grape is a standout example, showcasing a unique performance from DiCaprio, supported by a talented cast and a deeply moving story. As a total cinema fan, I’ve been following Nobody Wants This, and let me tell you, this season is all about Joanne and Noah trying to figure things out. Yasutora Sado, often called Chad, is a classic shonen anime character with the potential to be a great hero, but he never quite gets the chance to shine. In the early parts of Bleach, he seemed just as strong as his friends, but his progress was constantly hindered. While characters like Renji Abarai were able to grow and become powerful allies to Ichigo, Chad unfortunately didn’t receive the same development or opportunities.
Sony Pictures says the new movie, written and directed by Aaron Sorkin, will be thematically similar to his 2010 film, The Social Network (though David Fincher isn’t involved). While Jeremy Strong is playing a role similar to Mark Zuckerberg (previously played by Jesse Eisenberg), the story will focus on Frances Haugen, the whistleblower who leaked documents to The Wall Street Journal. These leaks revealed issues like the spread of anti-vaccine conspiracy theories, negative effects on young people, and Meta’s decision to shut down an internal project fighting misinformation. Haugen argued this inaction contributed to the January 6th Capitol attack, and the film will include a recreation of that event. A video from the set, showing actors portraying rioters at a building dressed to look like the Capitol (actually Vancouver’s Art Gallery), was briefly posted on X (formerly Twitter) by a fan account before being taken down. Photos from the scene have also surfaced on Reddit, with reports that paid actors were used for the reenactment.
