The series finale of Arrow, after eight seasons of excitement and bold choices, left many fans disappointed with how Oliver Queen’s story concluded. This underwhelming ending started a chain reaction for The CW’s superhero shows, ultimately leading to the end of the Arrowverse with The Flash in 2023. Though Superman & Lois continued until 2024, it wasn’t officially part of the main Earth-Prime storyline.
I’m so excited for Tim Robinson’s new movie, Friendship, coming out in 2025! Knowing his style, it’s going to be brilliantly awkward and funny. It’s about a guy named Craig, played by Tim, who quickly becomes friends with his new neighbor, Austin (Paul Rudd), but then their friendship suddenly falls apart. The movie follows Craig as he really struggles to accept that the friendship is over, and it’s apparently super dark and hilarious to watch. Andrew DeYoung wrote and directed it, and I have a feeling it’s going to be amazing!
This week, Pokébeach analyzed the rarity of cards from the newest set, using information from a YouTube video by carton_knight and pricing data from online retailers. The “Deck 101” featuring Mega Meganium, Mega Emboar, and Mega Feraligatr, was found in only four out of 1,000 opened packs. A special version of “Deck 001” containing a gold Mega Charizard Y ex has been confirmed, but wasn’t found in any of those 1,000 packs.

Fans of The Nun and The Nun II have a limited time left to stream both movies on Netflix. Both films will be removed from the platform on January 1st, so viewers have until December 31st to watch them.
Many were surprised when Peter Dinklage began discussions to play Charlie, while Natasha Lyonne would continue as a producer. However, it appears this was Lyonne’s intention all along. I don’t consider myself a big animation enthusiast, especially since my kids are getting older and I’ve probably seen enough Minions to last a lifetime! I appreciate any movie – animated or not – that’s clever and fun, so I was really surprised that two of my favorite films this year turned out to be animated: KPop Demon Hunters and Love Me. Let’s talk about those, and some other standout animated movies from 2025.
James Cameron considered writing a book series based on Avatar if other ideas, like a press conference or a stage show, didn’t pan out. However, he’s skeptical it would be successful, pointing out that people aren’t reading as much these days. He thinks a series written by him might change that, and it’s worth exploring the possibility.
