The third installment of the Now You See Me series, Now You Don’t, brings back the Horsemen – a team of magicians who use their elaborate shows to pull off heists. They steal from the wealthy and powerful, giving the spoils to their fans, essentially acting as Robin Hoods with illusions. The film suggests we all need a little magic these days, especially given current events, but unfortunately, it doesn’t quite deliver. While aiming to be a blend of magic, heist, humor, and romance, the movies feel more like superhero stories. The Horsemen aren’t clever illusionists; they seem to have actual superpowers. For example, Merritt McKinney (Woody Harrelson) doesn’t just hypnotize people – he turns them into zombies instantly. And Jack Wilder (Dave Franco) throws cards that act like guided missiles, curving around obstacles to hit their targets.

When Aggie switched gears on her struggling second book, focusing instead on her neighbor Nile Jarvis (Matthew Rhys) – a wealthy man rumored to have murdered his wife – it revitalized her career. She confesses to Nile that her motivation is entirely self-serving. Nile, it turns out, has similar reasons, hoping to repair his damaged reputation after years of speculation and accusations.

The third episode of It: Welcome to Derry builds anticipation for Pennywise (Bill Skarsgård) and also hints at a major heartbreaking event from Stephen King’s novel. The world of Stephen King’s It is being further explored with the series Welcome to Derry, which serves as a prequel to Andy Muschietti’s It films.

The show then centers on Carrie’s work as a secret operative. For all eight seasons, Homeland remains a captivating and suspenseful series, with just a few episodes that aren’t quite as strong. If you enjoy this type of show, you might also like the 2025 Netflix thriller, The Beast in Me.

The second season will continue the story with everything at stake for both Monarch and the world. The season will uncover hidden truths, bringing the heroes and villains together again on Skull Island, home of Kong. We’ll also meet a new village and a powerful, never-before-seen Titan emerging from the ocean. Past events will have major consequences in the present, complicating relationships and creating uncertainty as the threat of another massive Titan attack looms.

The first season of Murder, She Wrote includes the episode “Murder Takes the Bus,” which is heavily inspired by Agatha Christie’s famous novel, Murder on the Orient Express. Though not a direct retelling, the episode shares many similarities with Christie’s work. However, “Murder Takes the Bus” also introduces its own unique surprises, creating a compelling mystery while honoring a legendary crime writer.

That morning, Aggie went to the location where Teddy’s car was discovered. Although the police found a suicide note, Mrs. Fenig doesn’t believe Teddy took his own life. She tells the officers he had travel plans with his girlfriend and seemed happy. When she sees Aggie, she becomes extremely upset, accusing her of getting what she wanted. Aggie flees, feeling the accusation is likely true. Despite wanting to see the Fenigs as villains and herself as the victim, Aggie now shares a bond with Mrs. Fenig – they’ve both lost a son.

The trailer for Taylor Swift’s The End of an Era offered a surprisingly intimate look at her life. They playfully compare their professions, noting they both rely on teammates and coaches. Throughout the trailer, Swift’s song “Karma” plays, hinting that her success is well-deserved. While acknowledging how fortunate she is, Swift also emphasizes the hard work that has gotten her to where she is today.

Premiering in 2023, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is a new series created by Chris Black and Matt Fraction that expands the Monsterverse to Apple TV. The show begins after the massive fight between Godzilla and the Titans that destroyed San Francisco in the film Godzilla vs. Kong. It follows two siblings as they investigate their father’s past and uncover their family’s link to the mysterious organization, Monarch.
