Originally launched in 2012 for consoles like PlayStation and Xbox, *Sleeping Dogs* is an action game heavily inspired by Hong Kong crime films, especially the *Infernal Affairs* trilogy. Players take on the role of an undercover cop working to take down the Sun On Yee Triad. Packed with martial arts combat, shooting, and detective work – everything an action movie fan could want – *Sleeping Dogs* feels like it was made to be adapted into a film. Surprisingly, turning it into a movie has been challenging.

The upcoming series *Run Away* features James Nesbitt, Ruth Jones, Minnie Driver, and Alfred Enoch. The eight-episode show centers around a father’s search for his missing daughter and will premiere on January 1, 2026. Recent photos hint at a suspenseful and dangerous storyline, including a dramatic image of characters Dee Dee (played by Maeve Courtier-Lilley) and Ash (Join Pointing) covered in blood and holding a gun.

Rumors started circulating recently about the plot of the upcoming *Doomsday* story. Reports in mid-August indicated that the story would involve Doctor Doom kidnapping Franklin Richards and using his powers to fuel a plan to end dangerous incursions across the Marvel Multiverse.

The show still has a compelling story, with several plotlines developing at once. It feels like even small moments and conversations now could become important later on. Essentially, it’s about a man who believes he’s uncovered a crime involving a chair company, and his life spirals out of control as he investigates. The main story is easy to follow, even if some of the side paths are a bit confusing.

I’m naturally curious and tend to pick up on the hidden meanings in any situation – I probably already researched it on fan forums months ago! This helps me understand the real drama unfolding on screen. For instance, in the first episode of Potomac, it was obvious Stacey was warning Keiarna about trying too hard to stay relevant. They’re both competing for attention, and Keiarna is realizing Stacey is becoming more popular while her own star is fading – Stacey was basically calling her out for faking a conflict to get more camera time. It was a pretty clear power play. But this episode… I honestly have no idea what the problem is between them.

Though Tom Pelphrey isn’t physically *in* the last episode of the series *Task*, his character is still central to the story. Created by Brad Ingelsby—who also made the popular HBO miniseries *Mare of Easttown*—*Task* follows two interconnected storylines. We see Robbie (played by Pelphrey), a garbage collector who repeatedly steals from the Dark Hearts biker gang – the same group who killed his brother. Simultaneously, the series follows Tom (Mark Ruffalo), an ex-priest and FBI agent who’s pulled back into service to investigate a series of home invasions.

These moments are important because they establish clear details that future stories within the franchise can build upon. By demonstrating how powers work against zombies, how organizations handle galactic dangers, and what technology is available, *Marvel Zombies* essentially tests and solidifies the rules of its universe, enriching the overall lore.

The Dark Hearts are falling apart, with disagreements about what to do next – should they try to recover the stolen money, or simply disappear? Maeve is trying to maintain a sense of normalcy for her uncle’s children. Emilia Jones delivers a compelling performance as a woman shocked to discover she’s about to receive a large sum of stolen money. Meanwhile, Tom steps in to care for Sam, an orphaned boy, preventing him from entering the foster care system. A heartwarming moment is watching Tom teach Sam how to garden.
