Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian is available on Nintendo Switch, and can also be played on the newer Switch 2 console. The biggest problem with the game right now is frequent loading screens. While these aren’t too bothersome on more powerful systems like the PlayStation 5, PC, or Switch 2, they significantly slow down the experience on the original Switch, with loads taking between 3 and 6 seconds for rooms and cutscenes.
Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian offers a great PC experience with full controller support, Steam Cloud saves, and HDR visuals. You can customize your controls and graphics extensively, including options for keyboard/mouse, key remapping, and a wide range of visual settings and presets to balance performance and quality. Like previous Atelier games on PC, this one is well-optimized and offers plenty of ways to fine-tune the game to your liking.
We’d previously seen a glimpse of this game. A trailer was shown at gamescom 2025, but it didn’t reveal much detail. This time, however, we’re getting a better look. It seems the game will offer a similar experience to *Disco Elysium*, with gameplay focused on exploring the world and having conversations with characters. Dice rolls will also be a key part of the game.
The game will stay true to the original story and gameplay, but it will have updated graphics and be easier to control. It’s scheduled to launch on February 5th of next year.
