Goldfarb announced that The Outsider studio is closing down due to cuts at its parent company, Funcom. The studio, founded in 2015, nearly closed in 2020 when their game, Darkborn, was cancelled. Following that cancellation, Funcom gained majority ownership of The Outsider. The studio went on to release the rhythm-action game Metal: Hellsinger in 2022.
