Like Microsoft and Electronic Arts, Krafton is making a big investment in artificial intelligence. The South Korean gaming company, known for titles like PUBG, The Callisto Protocol, inZOI, and Subnautica 2, recently announced its plans for the future. This includes a major internal restructuring focused on prioritizing AI development – a shift they’re calling an “AI First transformation.” They also recently acquired Tango Gameworks, the studio behind Hi-Fi Rush.

During an early October podcast on the Skill Up channel, Shuhei Yoshida discussed Sony’s plans for its next console, the PlayStation 6. While Sony hasn’t officially announced the PS6, Yoshida, a former head of the PlayStation brand, explained that Hideaki Nishino, PlayStation’s general manager, will need a strong vision for how it will improve upon the PS5. Simply having better graphics isn’t enough, as the visual differences are becoming increasingly difficult to see.

Perplexity sued by Reddit: The case involves the illegal acquisition of data for AI training

Okay, so this is wild. Reddit just filed a lawsuit against Perplexity, Oxylabs UAB, AWMProxy, and SerpApi in federal court here in New York. Apparently, Perplexity is actually a customer of SerpApi. Basically, Reddit is saying these companies were scraping data from their platform without permission, and they’re laying out all the details in their official statement.
