Assassin’s Creed veteran leaves Ubisoft after 20 years. The decision was to be taken by him alone, just before the series passed into new hands

Marc-Alexis Côté joined Ubisoft in 2005 as a software engineer, initially working on games for the PSP like *Open Season* and *Surf’s Up*. He later became lead programmer for *Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands*. In 2008, he began contributing to the *Assassin’s Creed* series, playing a key role in the development of the popular *Brotherhood* game. Since then, he’s continued to help shape the series, eventually becoming a vice president and executive developer.
