Isaac Lapidus, a 34-year-old from Lawrence, New York, has been arrested for allegedly operating a scheme that distributed over $2 million worth of counterfeit Nintendo products from a warehouse in Island Park since 2018. He’s been charged with trademark counterfeiting and conspiracy, and could face up to 15 years in prison if found guilty.

So, I checked out the demo for Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter on the Switch eShop, and it’s actually the original version, not the updated Switch 2 Edition. That means we don’t get a sneak peek at how the upgraded version runs. The eShop page says the Switch 2 Edition will have faster loading, better graphics when docked, and can run at up to 4K at 30fps or 1080p at 60fps. But, it doesn’t say anything about how well it performs when playing in handheld mode – at least, not in the description they’ve put up.

The new physical Elite Edition costs $10 more than the digital version, but both include the same content. PC players can find discounts on all versions through Fanatical, where the standard edition is currently $25.79 (originally $30), the Pro Edition is $34.39 (originally $40), and the Elite Edition is $43 (originally $50). Games purchased from Fanatical are delivered as official Steam keys.
