Villains like these are common in Japanese role-playing games, and for good reason – these games often focus heavily on storytelling. While many JRPGs feature simple villains bent on world destruction for seemingly no reason, the most compelling ones are both terrifying and deeply sad. These villains are frightening to encounter, but what truly makes them scary is the tragic backstory that explains how they became so dangerous – that one pivotal moment that set them on a path to ruin.

I learned about this awesome group called Alveus Sanctuary, and it’s run by Maya Higa, who you might know from Twitch. She’s a huge advocate for helping animals and teaches her viewers all about wildlife rescue and making sure animals are treated well. It’s a non-profit, so they rely on support to keep doing their important work.

The company is consistently falling behind its main rivals, Nintendo and Sony, in sales and overall performance. Recently, their long-time CEO, Phil Spencer, retired, and Sarah Bond, who previously led Xbox and Microsoft Gaming, also stepped down.

Dunkin’ introduced its summer menu on April 29th, featuring a new drink called the Dunkin’ Dirty Soda. This limited-time offering combines Pepsi, Dunkin’s coffee-flavored milk, and a Sweet Cold Foam. Dunkin’ says it tastes smooth, creamy, and has a strong coffee flavor, much like their Dunkalatte.

I was so shocked to hear what happened on Wednesday! Apparently, the school bus leaving Hancock Middle School – it had about 40 kids on it – was being driven by Leah Taylor, a 46-year-old woman, when she suddenly had an asthma attack. It must have been really scary for everyone involved.

RPGs have always been a big commitment. Unlike games you can pick up and play casually, they demand a lot of time – often dozens of hours – and rely on saving your progress. Because of this, if you really wanted to experience everything an RPG had to offer, you generally needed to buy your own copy.

Hey, so Falcom’s been dropping character trailers for Kyoto Xanadu, which is awesome! They’ve started with the main guy, Rei Kamiya, and the heroine, Fuka Rikudo. I’m really excited to learn more about them before the game comes out.
