Candace Cameron Bure stands out in Hollywood, and it’s not just because of her successful marriage, three children, and career. Unlike many stars, she openly lives her faith, and someone recently asked what that’s like amidst the often superficial world of Hollywood and its constant attention.
While promoting her podcast, Candace Cameron Bure discussed her experiences as a public figure and what it’s like to be in the spotlight. She emphasized that her faith in God remains her top priority, which helps her stay grounded despite receiving both praise and criticism online. She shared these thoughts with Church Leaders magazine.
I feel incredibly humbled, and it’s a wonderful feeling. Being in Hollywood, with all the attention and praise, reminds me that ultimately, I’m seeking approval from God alone. While it’s lovely to receive appreciation from others, my greatest fulfillment comes from my faith and relying on God, not anyone else.
Bure explained that her faith helps her stay grounded, especially given how easily someone could get caught up in the world of fame or online rumors. She’s mentioned before that she doesn’t always openly talk about her beliefs, and she’s happy to now be able to share them more honestly.
It’s wonderful to receive love and appreciation from others, but I always strive to remain humble, knowing that my relationship with God is what truly matters. I want to feel I’ve done my best to honor Him, and to rest in the amazing, undeserved gift of His love.
Hollywood is a challenging place that can really push people to their limits. It can test their resilience, strength, and determination, and even change their perspective on appearance and body image. It can be tough on decision-making and lead to disappointment. Recently, actress Candace Cameron Bure faced criticism for switching from Hallmark to GAF and received negative comments from her Full House co-star, Jodie Sweetin. Bure has also shared that she used to be very critical of her body due to Hollywood’s standards, but her faith helped her find a healthier outlook.
She’s now able to discuss the pressures and distractions of fame with emotional strength. Despite the allure of Hollywood, she remains grounded, and attributes this to her faith in God.
