The family-friendly movie adaptation of the video game created by Warner Bros. and Legendary, titled “A Minecraft Movie”, has already earned $10.55 million during its Thursday previews. It’s predicted that this film could generate between $70 million to $80 million during its opening weekend, with some experts even estimating up to $90 million. However, Warner Bros. is being cautious and anticipates a lower figure of $65 million for the opening weekend. Internationally, it’s expected to bring in at least $65 million, making a worldwide opening of between $135 million to $150 million. With a production budget of $150 million and additional marketing costs, “A Minecraft Movie” seems poised for box office success following recent disappointments like “The Alto Knights” and “Mickey 17.
