Burger King is hiring tens of thousands of new employees across the United States. This increase in hiring is happening because the company’s plan to improve its business is starting to work, and more customers are visiting their restaurants.
The fast food chain announced it’s looking to hire as many as 60,000 new employees at its over 6,500 restaurants across the United States. This is one of the company’s biggest hiring efforts in recent history.
I’m really excited to hear Burger King is hiring a ton of people! It sounds like they’re making some big moves – they’re even changing up the menu and how things work in their restaurants, and get this, they’re giving the Whopper a major makeover for the first time in almost ten years! It’s a big deal.
Burger King hiring push follows sales boost and Whopper changes
Burger King has given its Whopper a makeover! It now comes on a softer, higher-quality bun and is served in a box instead of the usual paper wrapper. You’ll still find all the classic toppings – onions, tomatoes, lettuce, and pickles – plus a new and improved mayonnaise.
Things are really turning around at Burger King! We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to improve how we run things, update our restaurants, and, most importantly, actually listen to what customers want. And honestly, it’s starting to show – things are looking up!
Restaurant visits increased by 7% over the past year, so the company is hiring more people. They’re looking for candidates for all positions, from entry-level team members to managers.
Curtis is now personally handling customer calls to better understand and resolve issues related to product quality and price. He started doing this in 2026 as a way to directly address customer concerns.

Burger King is not only hiring more people, but also adding new technology to its restaurants. This includes AI-powered headsets for employees. These headsets use an AI assistant named Patty to listen to how staff interact with customers, and will notify managers if employees forget to say polite phrases like “welcome,” “please,” and “thank you.”
Okay, so this new AI system just dropped, and honestly, the reaction online is… complicated. I’ve been checking Reddit, and a lot of people are not happy. Some are even calling it “AI slop,” which is pretty harsh, but you can definitely see where they’re coming from. It’s definitely causing a buzz, and not all of it is good!
Following the positive response to their updated Whopper, Burger King’s Curtis announced in a video that they’re also improving their chicken nuggets. This change comes after customers shared feedback that the nuggets weren’t consistently fresh and sometimes arrived very soggy.
