Starting December 2nd, Burger King is offering a special menu based on SpongeBob SquarePants to celebrate the upcoming movie, “The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants,” which comes out in theaters on December 19th.
In November, photos of the new menu items appeared online thanks to a food blogger, which led Burger King to start hinting at their upcoming release.
Burger King didn’t share the secret Krabby Patty formula until Monday, December 1st, when they released the SpongeBob SquarePants meal.

SpongeBob Squarepants menu lands at Burger King
The limited-time lineup includes four themed items:
- SpongeBob’s Krabby Whopper
A quarter-pound beef patty with American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, mayonnaise, and ketchup, served on a yellow square sesame bun modeled after the Krabby Patty. - Mr. Krabs’ Cheesy Bacon Tots
Potato bites filled with cheese and bacon bits, packaged in a treasure chest-style carton. - Patrick’s Star-berry Shortcake Pie
A strawberry and vanilla cream dessert with a cookie crust, topped with shortcake crumbles and star-shaped sprinkles. - Pirate’s Frozen Pineapple Float
A frozen pineapple drink topped with tropical-flavored cold foam.
You can order items separately, or choose the Bikini Bottom Bundle or King Jr. Meal. The bundle comes in a special box shaped like SpongeBob’s pineapple home, and each King Jr. Meal includes one of six collectible SpongeBob toys plus a paper crown.
Burger King recently joined other brands in releasing SpongeBob-themed products to coincide with the upcoming movie. Previously, in November, Kellogg’s created a limited-edition version of SpongeBob’s favorite cereal, Kelpo, which they sold in supermarkets.
