Burger King president confirms another big menu upgrade after Whopper revamp

After recently updating the Whopper, Burger King is now working on making its chicken nuggets even better.

Burger King recently updated the Whopper for the first time in ten years, based on what customers told them. The changes were announced in late February.

Following feedback from Burger King customers, the company announced it will be upgrading the bun used for its Whopper to improve its taste and quality.

After recently challenging the McDonald’s CEO to a burger showdown, Curtis announced he’s continuing to improve the menu, and chicken nuggets are his next focus.

Burger King is changing up nuggets after customer complaints

Tom shared in an Instagram video that he’d received negative feedback about the nuggets after speaking with many guests.

When Curtis was taking customer calls, he noticed a recurring complaint: the chicken nuggets weren’t consistently good. Customers often said they were soggy, not fresh, and didn’t taste as good as they remembered from the 1990s.

Amy Alarcon, Burger King’s head of food development, shared that she’s always loved chicken nuggets, but believes there’s plenty of room to make them even better.

BK says the company is improving these features, but they haven’t said when the updated version will be available.

McDonald’s is updating its chicken nuggets as competition among fast food chains increases.

Notably, main nemesis McDonald’s launched its long-anticipated Big Arch, its biggest burger yet.

It’s not just burgers that are increasing in size these days. Dunkin’ is now trying out huge 48-ounce coffee buckets – that’s more than twice as much as their previous largest size.
