Budget-Friendly Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Lego Sets Are Available Now

Now, Lego Mario Kart fans can race against Sonic the Hedgehog and Knuckles! This is possible with the new Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Lego sets. Just a year after Lego Super Mario introduced buildable karts, Lego Sonic the Hedgehog is also moving from adventure sets to racing. The first sets available include Sonic’s Speedster Lightning Car and a two-pack featuring Silver’s Car versus Knuckles’ Monster Truck.

Here’s a look at the Lego Sonic racing and platforming sets currently available. Keep in mind that some Sonic Lego sets will soon be discontinued, including the largest and most expensive one. Right now, the 590-piece Super Sonic vs. Egg Drillster Lego set is on sale for just $48 at the Lego Store (originally $80) and $64 at Amazon.

You can currently get Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds at Amazon for $45 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch. This deal includes an Amazon-exclusive edition that comes with a bonus double-sided poster.

The Cyclone vs. Metal Sonic set with 290 pieces is currently $25.17, down from $30, and the Team Sonic Command Truck is $63 instead of $70. It’s worth noting that the Super Sonic vs. Egg Drillster set has been discontinued. If you’re hoping to get your hands on Shadow’s Escape, Knuckles’ Guardian Mech, or Tails’ Adventure Boat, it’s best to buy them quickly, as they’re likely to sell out. The Knuckles and the Master Emerald Shrine and the Shadow the Hedgehog display model have already sold out, so don’t wait!

Amazon is offering discounts on several Sonic the Hedgehog sets, including the Knuckles vs. Dr. Eggman Egg Crusher Mech for $40.49 (originally $45) and Super Shadow vs. Biolizard for $39 (originally $45). For a bigger building project, the Lego Ideas: Sonic the Hedgehog Green Hill Zone set is still available at its regular price from some sellers. Though it’s no longer sold directly by Lego, this 1,125-piece set was the company’s first Sonic collaboration and remains their largest, with over 1,000 pieces.
