Netflix users, take note! You have about a month left to watch Brooklyn Nine-Nine because 45 episodes will soon be removed. The show, a comedy about a police precinct, first aired on Fox in 2013 and later moved to NBC. After eight seasons and 153 episodes, Brooklyn Nine-Nine ended in 2021, but it’s been a popular choice for re-watching on Netflix ever since.

Netflix Is Removing Several Seasons Of Brooklyn Nine-Nine In February 2026
Netflix is adding two more seasons of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, but it’s swapping them for two seasons it already had. Back in February 2024, Netflix started streaming the first four seasons, even though all eight seasons existed. Then, in 2025, they added seasons 5 and 6. Now, to make room for the new seasons, Netflix has removed seasons 1 and 2 from its selection.
Currently, Netflix has seasons 3 through 6 of Brooklyn Nine-Nine available for streaming, starting in February 2026. However, when seasons 5 and 6 are added on February 26, 2026, seasons 3 and 4 will be removed. If you’re watching Brooklyn Nine-Nine on Netflix, you’ll want to finish at least season 5 before then.
Why Netflix Can Only Have Some Seasons Of Brooklyn Nine-Nine At A Time
Netflix’s approach to streaming shows like Brooklyn Nine-Nine involves a smart agreement with NBC. While NBC has its own streaming service, Peacock, it doesn’t have as many viewers as Netflix. To reach a wider audience, NBC is now sharing some of its shows with Netflix.
The strategy relies on getting Netflix viewers to love a show like Brooklyn Nine-Nine, then directing them to Peacock when they’ve finished all available episodes on Netflix. This encourages them to subscribe to Peacock to continue watching. Ultimately, both platforms benefit – Netflix sees high viewership numbers, and Peacock gains new subscribers who are already fans of the show.
Here’s the good news: even though Netflix will be swapping out older episodes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine for newer ones, you can still watch the entire series on Peacock. If you prefer to stick with just one streaming service, it’s best to finish watching now before the episodes disappear from Netflix.
