Frugal bride allegedly uses McDonald’s for wedding flowers
TikTok user Olivia Schlottach is getting a lot of attention online because people claim she used flowers from McDonald’s in her wedding. It sounds unbelievable, but that’s the story!
Olivia’s video, which has gained around 600,000 views, shows her going to a McDonald’s with pruning shears and a bucket. Although the video doesn’t show her actually cutting the flowers, the next image reveals the bucket filling up, followed by shots of the flower arrangements used at her wedding.
Olivia captioned the video “Ballin’ on a McBudget,” and included hashtags related to affordable wedding tips and inspiration.
The video has resonated with other brides, who generally approve of the practice. One commented that pruning is actually good for plants, saying, “It’s healthy for bushes and trees and they need to be pruned anyway – you’re doing them a favor!” Another bride playfully shared, “I actually got all my landscaping rocks from the Target parking lot.”
Some people watching mentioned that what was happening might be against the law, depending on where they live. One person added that it seems to be perfectly legal in Nashville, as they’ve seen people openly cutting hydrangeas.
TikTok has featured McDonald’s-themed weddings before. Last August, a couple who used to work at McDonald’s actually had a wedding with a Golden Arches theme.
