Banijay Rights, a worldwide distribution division of Banijay Entertainment, has unveiled “Bosé Renacido,” or “Bosé Reborn” – the most popular non-fiction format on Spain’s Movistar Plus+ platform in history – will be part of their Content Americas 2025 collection. This market event based in Miami is scheduled for next week.

Miguel Bosé has been successful for nearly five decades, selling over 30 million records worldwide and acting in well-known films like Pedro Almodóvar’s “High Heels.” He was born in Panama City to a mother who was an actress and a father who was a famous bullfighter, growing up surrounded by culture, art, and influential figures such as Pablo Picasso and Ernest Hemingway.

As a passionate cinephile, I had the privilege of being involved in the creation of “Bosé Renacido,” a project that sprang from an engaging discussion between myself (Miguel Bosé) and Macarena Rey, the visionary CEO and producer at Shine Iberia.

Rey announced in a statement, “I spoke with Miguel while he was writing his book and suggested to him: if you truly wish to narrate your life experiences, now would be the perfect moment to create an exclusive and distinctive documentary series.” He referred to it as ‘Bosé Renacido’, an intriguing voyage where Bosé and 50 other individuals featured in the documentary disclose untold stories, personal and professional aspects, oddities, and a treasure trove of private archives. Miguel is like a cat with multiple lives; he’s a life, another life, and yet another life – hence the name ‘Renacido’. Today, several months after its debut, the series has become the most-watched non-fiction format in the history of Spanish TV platform Movistar Plus+.

At Content Americas next week, Banijay Entertainment plans to exhibit ‘Bosé Renacido’ alongside various other titles. They’ll also unveil scripted series like ‘Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light’ and the competitive format ‘MasterChef: Dessert Masters.’ Representatives from Banijay Rights, including Michelle Wasserman and Ivania Zamora, VP of Sales, will attend the market to network with broadcasters and buyers.

Shine Iberia, renowned for creating many hit shows across Spain and Portugal, has collaborated on various local versions of Banijay Entertainment’s formats, such as “MasterChef,” “Next Level Chef,” “The Great Sewing Race” and “The Voice Portugal.
