Video game crossovers are common, but often feel expected. However, the newest collaboration is a surprising one: 2K announced that characters and elements from Borderlands will be appearing in the golf game, PGA Tour 2K25. While both games are owned by the same company, they are otherwise very different franchises.
PGA Tour 2K25’s Season 4 will feature a special event called “Mayhem on the Greens,” which incorporates elements from the Borderlands video game series. Gearbox, the developer of Borderlands, announced the exciting addition, exclaiming, “Mayhem on the green incoming!!”
The “Mayhem on the Greens” event starts on Wednesday, October 29th, but 2K Sports and Gearbox haven’t shared any information about what it will involve. The promotional image features a Psycho character with a unique golf club that appears to be crafted from wasteland materials.

PGA Tour 2K25 isn’t new to offering licensed content – players can already buy gear and items from real-world brands such as Adidas, Sun Day Red, and Barstool Sports.
Borderlands 4 came out in September and quickly became the best-selling game in the series in the US. The first downloadable content with extra story, bosses, and items will be available in November.
