Bob’s Burgers star hospitalized with “serious injuries” after fiery car crash

Eugene Mirman, the voice of Gene Belcher on Bob’s Burgers, is currently in the hospital recovering from serious injuries sustained in a car accident.

On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, the 51-year-old actor was rescued from a burning vehicle. He was transported by ambulance to receive treatment for serious, but currently unspecified, injuries.

Mirman was driving a 2026 Lucid Gravity when it crashed into the Bedford Toll Plaza in New Hampshire. The vehicle caught fire with Mirman still trapped inside.

People at the scene, including an experienced State Trooper who usually protects Governor Kelly Ayotte, helped pull the actor out of his car window.

We haven’t received any updates from Mirman’s team regarding his condition, two days after the accident. The investigation into the crash is ongoing as the actor continues to recover in the hospital.

Colonel Mark B. Hall praised the witnesses who rescued Mirman, saying they acted heroically. He explained that they immediately risked their own safety to help someone in need.

Eugene Mirman has been the voice of Gene Belcher on Bob’s Burgers since the show began in 2011. After more than 300 episodes and a movie, the popular animated series is still going strong, with new episodes scheduled to air until May 17, 2026.

This comedian, who is of Russian-American descent, is famous for being in the comedy series Flight of the Conchords from the 2000s, and he’s also done a lot of stand-up comedy.

TMZ was the first to report that Mirman was involved in the car crash, but it’s currently unknown how badly he was hurt. We’ll share more information as soon as we have it.
