Koei Tecmo revealed that Blue Reflection Quartet will be available on July 30th for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
As a big fan of Blue Reflection, I’m really excited about the Quartet release! It’s basically a collection of the first two console games, plus remakes of the Ray and Sun stories – and they’ve given Ray and Sun a 3D makeover, which looks fantastic. Unfortunately, it’s going to be digital-only here in the West, but Japan is getting physical copies for both PS5 and Switch. There is a Switch 2 version coming, but it’s digital-only everywhere and won’t let you carry over your progress or saves from other versions. Big thanks to Gematsu for letting us know all the details about the Switch 2 release!
Blue Reflection Quartet launches on July 30 for PS5, Switch 2, Switch, and PC (Steam).

Today, Koei Tecom Europe and developer Gust surprised fans by announcing Blue Reflection Quartet, the ultimate bundle of all four titles in the Blue Reflection series. With this compilation, fans will rediscover the two Blue Reflection console series games, as well as a console port of the mobile game Blue Reflection: SUN with an updated battle system, and a story scenario summarising the events of the 24-episode anime Blue Reflection: RAY. Blue Reflection Quartet is currently in development digitally and is scheduled for release on 30 July 2026 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC via Steam.
The Blue Reflection series is a heartwarming RPG that focuses on the friendships between students as they balance school life and magical abilities known as Reflectors. The original game, released in 2017, tells the story of Hinako, Yuzuki, and Lime as they work to save the world from a looming danger. This new version, Quartet, enhances the experience with updated HD graphics – bringing the beautiful water effects, environments, and characters to life. It also includes quality-of-life improvements like faster movement and automatic saving, making the gameplay even smoother.
After the initial animated series, Blue Reflection: Ray, debuted in 2021, fans can now enjoy Blue Reflection Quartet. This new installment revisits the story of Hiori and Ruka with updated 3D character models, and includes a bonus short story unlocked by collecting Memory Shards. The anime’s story will also be expanded with a prologue and epilogue, creating a more complete connection between all titles in the series.
I was super excited when I heard Blue Reflection: Sun was finally coming to consoles! I originally played it on PC and mobile back in 2023-2024, and it’s got a really interesting story where you lead a team and help them work through their problems while battling these creatures called Testa, which are born from, like, magical ash. This console version has been updated with the combat system from Blue Reflection: Second Light, which is a big improvement. Plus, they’ve added a whole new event for chapter 24 and a bunch of extra conversations you couldn’t find in the original game. They even included a prologue and epilogue to tie it all into the rest of the Blue Reflection series, which is awesome!
Blue Reflection: Second Light, launched in 2021, follows Ao Hoshizaki and her classmates as they grapple with their emotions and try to piece together their forgotten memories and the mysteries of their world. The updated ‘Quartet’ version adds eight new playable characters from previous Blue Reflection games (Ray and Sun), plus improvements like faster movement and automatic saving. Fans will also be able to include returning characters Yuzuki and Lime in photo mode, letting them capture pictures of the entire cast.
Blue Reflection Quartet will feature a “Reference” section, offering fans a more in-depth look at the game’s universe. It will also include a “Gallery” showcasing illustrations by Mel Kishida, the character designer and general supervisor.
Blue Reflection Quartet is a game currently being made and will be available digitally on July 30, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC through Steam. It will feature Japanese voice acting with English subtitles only.
