Ahead of the Lunar New Year, Blue Archive producer Kim YongHa announced plans to improve the game’s PC version. He also promised players new in-game events and more frequent updates.
After a slight delay for review, Blue Archive is now available on PC through Steam, letting players enjoy the game on computers as well as mobile devices. A message from Kim announced that the PC version will continue to be improved, with official support planned for both the Steam Deck and controllers. While the game can currently be played on the Steam Deck, players currently need to use the touchpads or touchscreen to control a virtual mouse cursor.
Kim also mentioned that more story events are on the way. These include an event called “To Whom Art Belongs” with new playable characters from the Wildhunt Art Academy. We can also expect limited-time events featuring the Red Winter Publishing Department, the Hyakkiyako Ninjutsu Research Club, and a magical girl theme with the Trinity Vigilante Crew. In early February 2026, new chapters of the main story will be released, including the first chapter of Volume 6, “Oratorio of Days Gone By,” which focuses on the Arius Squad, and a continuation of the Decagrammaton storyline.
Nexon Games is updating the global and Korean versions of Blue Archive to bring them closer in line with the original Japanese release. Currently, the global version is about six months behind Japan, but the developers hope to cut that delay to just three months. They’re carefully adding new events and content to avoid overwhelming players.
Blue Archive is available on iOS, Android, and PC.
