Sony recently held a State of Play event, showcasing upcoming PlayStation 5 games. With Sony now owning Bloodborne, fans are hoping these events will finally bring news about a remaster, sequel, or even a version for PC.
Unfortunately, the recent February State of Play presentation didn’t include any updates on Bloodborne. This means the popular game remains exclusive to PlayStation 4 and 5.
This Bloodborne PC Port Proves It’s Possible
For years, fans have tried to create a PC version of Bloodborne, but previous efforts were always plagued with too many bugs and issues to be playable. Now, though, a content creator named Spicy has shared a video on YouTube showing Bloodborne running on PC, and it looks surprisingly polished and successful.
Okay, so this is huge for Bloodborne fans like me! Thanks to the shadPS4 emulator, we can finally play it on PC, and it runs super smooth – up to 60fps, with RTX options if you want to crank up the graphics. The emulator just got a big update to its mod manager, making it way easier to get the game running than ever before. Honestly, it proves that Sony could release an official PC port, and they really should. Come on, Sony, make it happen!
Why Does PlayStation Not Want Easy Money?
Seriously, if you chat with any Bloodborne fan for even a little while, you’ll quickly learn that we’ve been begging for a PC version since the game came out in 2015. Right now, it’s still only playable on PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5, and Sony hasn’t said a word about bringing it to PC, remastering it, or even making a sequel. We’re all hoping it happens!
Many consider Bloodborne to be FromSoftware’s greatest game, and even one of the best video games ever made. So, it’s surprising Sony seems unwilling to release it on PC, especially since it would likely be very profitable. I, for one, would happily pay a lot to play it on PC. Unfortunately, Sony isn’t budging, and it looks like Bloodborne will remain exclusive to PlayStation for the time being.
Good news for Bloodborne fans! Thanks to a new update to the shadPS4 emulator, you can now play the game on PC. It’s an unofficial port, but it’s currently the best way to experience Bloodborne on a computer if you’re hoping Sony will eventually release a PC version.
