The legal dispute between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni is continuing, and they’re currently focused on exchanging information for the case. Lively’s lawyers claim Baldoni’s team isn’t fully cooperating, specifically regarding details about claims that Baldoni damaged her reputation.

Blake Lively’s Legal Team Says Justin Baldoni’s Side Is Holding Back Evidence

According to legal filings obtained by US Weekly, Blake Lively’s lawyers claim there’s strong proof of a retaliatory effort against her, as she alleges. However, those on the other side, connected to Jason Baldoni, are also making accusations.

Throughout the investigation, they consistently avoided sharing information, either by not providing requested documents or by incorrectly claiming those documents were protected by attorney-client privilege.

The lawsuit claims that Baldoni’s team either destroyed important evidence or didn’t keep and share it when requested.

Blake Lively is suing Justin Baldoni, alleging he sexually harassed her and created an uncomfortable work atmosphere while filming It Ends With Us. They both acted in and Lively produced the movie, which Baldoni also directed. Lively’s lawsuit also claims Baldoni tried to damage her reputation. Baldoni has stated that he disagrees with all of the accusations.

The lawsuit claims Justin Baldoni teamed up with podcasters and media personalities to publicly harm Lively’s reputation. Reports circulated about Lively’s conduct during the making of the movie It Ends With Us. Adding to the situation, leaked text messages from Baldoni portrayed Lively negatively.

As a fan, I was shocked to hear that people commenting on this whole situation were getting subpoenas! Perez Hilton actually said Lively’s lawyers tried to make him turn over information, but they eventually dropped it. Megyn Kelly claimed she also fought a subpoena and didn’t have to hand anything over, but Lively’s team says she wasn’t even subpoenaed, which is super confusing. It’s hard to know exactly what happened with all the conflicting stories!

What Lively’s Lawyers Want The Judge To Do About It

Lively’s lawyers are not only filing legal arguments, but are also asking the judge to penalize Baldoni’s team for reportedly concealing or deleting important communications.

Lively’s legal team is asking the court to prevent Baldoni’s side from claiming they didn’t organize a retaliatory campaign when the case goes to trial, currently scheduled for early next year. They also want the jury to know that Baldoni’s team didn’t keep important evidence, and that the jury can assume this lost evidence would have weakened their arguments.

Blake Lively has already won a key legal battle, as the judge threw out Justin Baldoni’s claim against her. If the judge rules in her favor again, it would be another significant win, giving her a strong advantage before the trial begins.
