Lisa, a member of the popular band Blackpink, experienced some apprehension during her acting premiere in the latest season of “The White Lotus” on HBO. On the red carpet, she shared with EbMaster that she envisions herself in an action movie role in the future.
During filming for “White Lotus” in Thailand, she cherished the opportunity to connect with her fellow actors, but simultaneously grappled with apprehension as it was her first significant acting assignment. Later, Lisa had a conversation with EbMaster on Monday evening during the premiere of “The White Lotus” Season 3 at Paramount Studios in Hollywood.
Lisa expressed to Marc Malkin from EbMaster, “I’m unsure how to describe my emotions at the moment, but I’m absolutely thrilled! I can hardly contain my enthusiasm for all of you to see this upcoming show.
Her first acting job proved to be a great working environment.
As this is my debut performance, I have no idea about the dynamics of a film set. However, everyone’s encouragement and support has been incredibly helpful. So, thank you all very much.
On her initial day under the camera’s gaze, things got off to a shaky start as she confessed when Mike White, creator of “White Lotus,” called out “action.” She candidly admitted, “I was trembling with nerves. I was perspiring profusely. I thought, ‘I can’t recall my lines.’ I drew a blank.
However, Lisa swiftly navigated past that obstacle. In her professional role as an employee at a Thailand branch of the prestigious hotel chain, she is known as Lisa. Off camera, Lisa ended up previewing a substantial portion of her fresh music to her colleagues, even unveiling her popular song and music video “Rockstar” prior to its public release.
“We’re just sharing what we do,” she said. “All of them are so supportive.”
Currently, Lisa doesn’t have another project similar to “The White Lotus” lined up for acting. However, when asked about her dream role, she hinted at an action-packed film. Could we see her portraying a tough, action-oriented character on screen?
“Oh yeah,” she said. “I think so.”
