As a seasoned Black Ops fan with countless hours spent battling the undead in Zombies mode, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming GobbleGum Mania event! The chance to earn stacks of free rewards while helping shape the community’s progress is not only thrilling but also nostalgic, reminding me of the good old days when we’d huddle together in a room with a bucket of Doritos, competing to see who could eat the most GobbleGums.
In Season 1 Reloaded for Black Ops 6, we’re introducing an exclusive event, GobbleGum Mania, specifically for Zombies enthusiasts. This event presents an opportunity for players to accumulate heaps of rewarding goodies at no cost.
The mid-season update for Black Ops 6 introduces a lot of fresh content such as the AMR Mod 4 Sniper Rifle and a winter adaptation of Nuketown. Additionally, Zombies fans can anticipate the debut of the new map, Citadelle des Morts, along with an exhilarating new event.
In honor of the debut of the third map, Treyarch is hosting the Black Ops 6 Halloween-themed GobbleGum Frenzy event within the Zombies mode. Here’s a breakdown of what this event entails and the prizes you could win!
GobbleGum Mania event dates
The GobbleGum event kicks off on Thursday, December 5, 2024, coinciding with the release of Season 1 Reloaded update in Black Ops 6 Zombies. This exciting event will last for a full fortnight before wrapping up on Thursday, December 19, as announced prior to its launch on the pre-launch blog.
GobbleGum Mania event explained
As a dedicated fan, here’s my take: During the GobbleGum Mania event, you and I, along with the entire community, are challenged to chomp down on a particular number of GobbleGums in Zombies matches! Similar to the Hit List event, there will be both personal and collective targets to achieve within a span of two weeks. Let’s see who can gather the most GobbleGums and emerge victorious!
The personal goal counts any GobbleGums you eat during a game, encouraging you to visit the machines as often as possible. As you hit certain milestones, you’ll unlock a series of rewards.
During the event, the total amount of GobbleGums consumed by all players contributes towards a collective goal. As each milestone is achieved, the entire community receives a unique set of rewards associated with this goal.
In other words, it’s essential for you to participate actively in order to reap the individual benefits, yet the collective advantages are set to come your way regardless of whether or not you choose to engage.
