As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I’ve seen countless delays and disappointments in the industry. Yet, none have been as frustrating as the ongoing wait for “Black Myth: Wukong” on Xbox consoles.

Having experienced the graphical prowess and immersive gameplay of this action-adventure title on PC, I can only imagine how breathtaking it would be to explore its stunning open world on my Xbox Series S. However, as Feng Ji, the game director, recently revealed, the memory issues of the Xbox Series S are causing significant challenges for the development team.

With 10GB of shared RAM, it’s no wonder that the devs are struggling to optimize the game for the console. It’s akin to trying to fit an elephant in a tiny birdhouse – it just doesn’t seem possible!

I can’t help but feel a pang of jealousy towards PlayStation players who will get to experience “Black Myth: Wukong” sooner, while Xbox owners like myself are left twiddling our thumbs. But hey, I guess we can always take solace in the fact that at least we won’t have to deal with Sony’s infamous loading times!

In all seriousness though, I’m eagerly awaiting the day when “Black Myth: Wukong” graces my Xbox Series S. Until then, I’ll just keep crossing my fingers and hoping that this game is worth the wait – because if it’s anything like the PC version, it’ll be a monkey-tastic adventure!

Players who use Xbox consoles are still anticipating the release of Black Myth: Wukong. Recently, we’ve discovered the primary cause behind its delayed launch.

Wukong, mentioned on the Chinese platform Weibo that difficulties they’re encountering might be due to the memory problems experienced by the Xbox Series S console.

In a recent post, Feng Ji (also known as Yocar) mentioned that the Xbox Series S has a memory allocation of just 10GB, which is split between its processor and graphics card. This constraint could potentially pose challenges for developers working on the game titled Black Myth: Wukong.

Managing 10 GB of shared memory can be quite a formidable task, especially for those who haven’t had extensive years of optimization experience under their belt; it’s truly a tough nut to crack.

Initially, it was speculated that the holdup in releasing Wukong on Xbox platforms might be because of an exclusivity deal with PlayStation. But the game director’s statement suggests that the issues are more likely to be related to technical complications specifically linked to the Xbox Series S.

At present, it’s still uncertain when Xbox users can enjoy playing Black Myth: Wukong, as Game Science Studio is still perfecting the game and will reveal the release date once the Microsoft console version fulfills their quality requirements.
