BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse is introducing a new, limited-time dessert: the Sweet Heat Pepperoni Pizookie. It’s a spicy-sweet twist on their famous warm skillet cookie.
This unusual treat will only be available on April 1st for $4.01, a playful nod to April Fools’ Day.
This treat offers a unique sweet and spicy combination, taking inspiration from pizza flavors. It features pepperoni and a hot honey glaze, but it’s served as a dessert – a playful twist on the brand’s popular ‘Pizookie’ concept, which has always been pizza-inspired.
This new offering builds on BJ’s recent menu updates. Last year, they revamped their deep-dish pizza with a crust inspired by different regional styles, and that success led to this playful addition for their April Fool’s Day menu.
The Sweet Heat Pepperoni Pizookie is the latest in a line of unique creations from the brand. They’ve previously offered limited-edition items like a Fryckle Pizookie made with reality star Snooki, and even a savory Broccoli Cheddar Pizookie topped with mashed potatoes and cheese sauce made with beer.
BJ’s isn’t alone in trying out unusual tastes lately. KFC, for instance, has introduced a pickle-themed menu in Canada and the UK, even including a pickle-flavored Pepsi to drink.
