Happy N7 Day, everyone!
Here’s another blog post from me! These annual posts are always a good chance to reflect on how fortunate we are to have Mass Effect, and how grateful we are for all of your support. We’ve shared so much together, and we truly appreciate each and every one of you.
We know there’s been a lot of talk, and we’ve heard you’re eager to know what’s coming next. Let us confirm: a new Mass Effect game is currently being made, and both EA and BioWare are dedicated to continuing the Mass Effect story.
Things have been really hectic at BioWare lately, but right now, the entire team is completely focused on making the next Mass Effect game. We’re working hard on building a huge universe with lots of features and compelling character relationships. We’re really excited about what we’re creating, and we promise to share it when it’s ready. Thanks for being so patient – we know you’re eager for updates and love to analyze everything we post (and sometimes, there are hidden clues!).
There’s a lot more on the horizon beyond our next game! I haven’t said much about it yet, but you may have heard we’re working on a TV series. We’re collaborating closely with Amazon, and we’re incredibly impressed with what their team is creating.
The writing team is making excellent progress, and we have a clear understanding of how the show fits into the established Mass Effect story and timeline, as well as its place leading into the new game. The series will tell a completely new story within the Mass Effect universe, taking place after the events of the original trilogy. It won’t simply retell Commander Shepard’s adventure – that’s a story we want to leave for the player!
We’re continuing the celebrations today on our social media pages! Look out for exciting new Mass Effect merchandise, plus free in-game items for skate. and Apex Legends. Stay tuned for more!
Happy N7 Day,
Mike Gamble Executive Producer, Mass Effect
