Paradox Interactive’s biggest expansion yet is getting its first updates. The developers of Crusader Kings 3 have shared what they’re planning to add to the game in the future.
After a week since its release, it’s clear that All Under Heaven isn’t one of Paradox’s disappointing DLCs. While it currently has a 72% positive review rating after over 1,600 reviews – making direct comparison to recent expansions for games like Stellaris or the CK3 coronation DLC difficult – the release has significantly boosted player numbers. At its peak, nearly 77,000 players were online simultaneously, a level the game hasn’t seen in years.
November in CK3 full of fixes and new features
Despite a few problems, many fixes are coming with today’s update, version 1.18.0.2. While the complete list of changes isn’t available yet, the developers say it includes bug fixes, better game balance, and solutions to crashes. They’ve specifically addressed issues with the Celestial Government system and family members who avoid studying, streamlining the process by simply requiring them to take exams instead of forcing them to attend classes.
A new update, version 1.18.1, is coming next week. It will improve the game’s visuals for players in Southeast Asia with new hairstyles and headgear, and also update the campaign map. Players can also expect a new atmospheric experience at the Chinese court. Besides these changes, the update includes smaller improvements to the game’s interface and AI, and a significant addition: the ability to establish the Ryukyu Empire – a challenging task for players aiming to conquer the world.
Update 18.1.2, releasing in November, will include bug fixes and improvements to how the game plays. We’re also working on more changes, and we’ll share details about those soon.
