Wow, 2025 is almost over, and it’s been an amazing year for games! I just saw a new video from Sony that’s got me super hyped for next year. They’re showing off all the must-play games coming to PlayStation 5 in 2026, and it looks incredible. You can check out the trailer below – seriously, do it!
What games are coming to PlayStation 5?
PlayStation owners have several exciting games to look forward to next year. Among the exclusive titles are the eagerly awaited Marvel’s Wolverine, created by Insomniac Games, and Saros, developed by Housemarque.
Let’s talk about games coming to PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. A big highlight was the next installment in the incredibly popular Resident Evil series, called Resident Evil: Requiem. We also saw the latest game from IO Interactive, 007: First Light, and a promising title from a Polish developer, The Blood of Dawnwalker.
Many gamers have pointed out the unusual sight of Halo: Combat Evolved – a game traditionally associated with Microsoft’s Xbox – being featured in Sony’s advertising. This is because it’s one of the last big Xbox games that will be released on PlayStation 5 next year.
Besides to the mentioned titles, the video also showcased:
- Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls;
- NiOh 3;
- Dune: Awakening;
- Onimusha: Way of the Sword;
- Crimson Desert;
- Pragmata;
- LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight;
- The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin;
- Directive 8020.
Cool, but something is missing
Gamers immediately realized a major title was absent: Grand Theft Auto VI. It’s the most eagerly awaited game of 2026, and following a recent delay, it’s now scheduled to release on November 19th.
Some people see this as evidence that Sony doubts the game will come out next year and expects further delays. Others argue that GTA VI is so popular that most people already know it’s coming, so Sony chose to highlight its other games instead.
