Okay, so everyone thought Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 was the only real threat to Battlefield 6. But honestly, it’s turned out to be a pretty weak release, especially the campaign. I thought that meant BF6 was in the clear, but the biggest problem isn’t another game – it’s Battlefield 6 itself! It’s actually become one of the worst-rated Battlefield games on Steam, which is crazy. The devs are trying to fix things with patches and new maps like Eastwood, hitting update 1.1.2.0 now, but it’s kind of backfiring. Each update seems to bring even more bugs and, even worse, crashes. It’s frustrating, because it feels like they can’t quite get it right.

It’s natural to hope games improve over time, and No Man’s Sky’s impressive turnaround is a good example. However, that hasn’t been the case for Battlefield 6. While it initially saw success, fans say that only lasted about 18 days. The game is facing serious issues: EA is struggling financially, and players are reporting frustrating bugs, like characters dying after simply jumping. Beyond the financial concerns, the recent 1.1.2.0 patch, intended to add new content, has instead caused frequent crashes for many players, suggesting these problems are far from over.
Battlefield Studios is aware that players are frequently being kicked back to the desktop when trying to join matches. Unfortunately, they don’t have a solution yet. Currently, their only suggestions are very basic troubleshooting steps.
- Verifying the integrity of game files,
- Repairing EA Javelin program,
- Changing the language of the game on Steam to any other that the one that was currently set, starting BF6 in different localization, turning it off, and switching back to the original.
The development team will likely focus on resolving issues with the live game, particularly critical problems like crashes. To help them investigate, please share your crash logs, which are usually found in the following location:
Please upload your files to a cloud storage service like Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox, and share the link in the Steam thread. The representative has confirmed these files shouldn’t include any personal information. If you’d prefer not to share your files publicly, you can contact EA support directly for help with troubleshooting. Best of luck!
