Beyond: Two Souls Is In Development As A TV Series

It appears that Quantic Dream’s story-rich video games such as Detroit: Become Human and Heavy Rain would make excellent choices for Hollywood adaptations. Interestingly, it seems that Quantic Dream’s 2013 release, Beyond: Two Souls, will be the first of their games to be transformed into a TV series instead.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that Elliot Page, known for his captivating performances, will be spearheading the television adaptation of Beyond: Two Souls through his production company, Pageboy Productions (as reported by Deadline). In the original game, before his transition, Page portrayed Jodie Holmes, a girl mysteriously connected to an ethereal entity named Aiden. Devoid of a physical form, Aiden was inexplicably linked to Jodie, granting them extraordinary abilities and making it challenging for her to establish meaningful relationships with others. This unique bond between Jodie and Aiden was a key exploration within the game, offering glimpses into their supernatural powers and complex dynamics.

In a statement, Page expressed that filming the game was one of the hardest yet rewarding acting experiences he’s had in his career. He noted that the story’s complex plot and deep emotional content provide an excellent basis for their work. Their aim is to develop a distinctive portrayal of the characters’ tales that strikes a chord with both dedicated fans and newcomers alike.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m excited about this upcoming adaptation that promises to capture the game’s unique non-linear narrative. In this journey, I find myself as Jodie, initially unwillingly thrust into a government experiment. However, circumstances take a turn, and I soon find myself on the run, all while uncovering the mysteries of my powers and my connection with Aiden.

As of now, Beyond: Two Souls lacks a network or streaming platform connection, and no creative team has been established for the project. Additionally, it is unknown whether Page will appear on screen or continue in a producing role.

At the moment, Quantic Dream is busy developing Star Wars: Eclipse, however, there hasn’t been an announced release date for this game yet.
