As a Battlefield 6 player, I’ve found that gadgets are huge. They’re the gear you start every life with, and honestly, mastering them can totally turn the tide of a battle. Each class has its own special gadgets to pick from, and while the starting ones are okay, unlocking and experimenting with the others is where it’s at – some of them are seriously game-changing!
Here’s a look at the best gadgets to use for each of the four classes in Battlefield 6, helping you build effective loadouts. For optimal performance, we recommend checking out our guide to the best weapons in the game as well.

Best Gadgets in Battlefield 6
Battlefield 6 lets you equip two gadgets per class, so we’ve put together a list of the best two for each one. You’ll unlock some of these gadgets right away, while others require leveling up or completing challenges. We’ve balanced the list to include options that are easy to get, as well as those that take more effort.
We’ll go over each class and its best Gadgets below:
Assault class
Assault is a well-liked class in Battlefield 6. While it doesn’t offer as many gadgets as other classes, the ones it does have can really turn the tide of battle. Here are our top choices for the best Assault gadgets:
- M87A1 Shotgun
- Deploy Beacon
- Assault Ladder
We originally planned to feature just two Gadgets per character class, but Assault is different. Its first Gadget slot is reserved for weapons like the powerful M87A1 shotgun and various carbines. Because of this, we’re providing two extra Gadget options for its second slot.
We’ve chosen the Deploy Beacon and the Assault Ladder as our gadgets. The Deploy Beacon helps you quickly get around enemies and team up with your squad. The Assault Ladder is versatile and lets you reach higher levels of buildings without having to use stairs.
Engineer class
Okay, so I’m really excited to talk about the Engineer! This class has, hands down, some of the coolest and most helpful Gadgets in the whole game. Since the Engineer is all about destroying vehicles, you can expect a ton of rocket launchers and other stuff designed to take them down. Here are my picks for the absolute best Gadgets for this class – the ones I always use!
- RPG-7V2
- Supply Crate
Okay, so if you’re playing Engineer and want the best rocket launcher, I’ve gotta say it’s the RPG-7V2. It’s super fast to fire rockets, which is awesome for quickly taking down tanks and other ground vehicles. Plus, landing a hit on a helicopter or jet with one of these rockets? That’s a guaranteed highlight reel moment, seriously!
The Supply Crate offers a different kind of support in Battlefield 6. It helps your team by providing ammunition, and it lets vehicles continuously reload their weapons without having to return to a resupply point on the map.
Support class
- Defibrillator
- M320A1 SMK
The Defibrillator is a core part of playing the Support class. It lets you immediately revive fallen teammates, and can even be used as a last-resort weapon in close combat. If you’re playing Support, using the Defibrillator is essential.
The M320A1 SMK is a great Support Gadget choice. It lets you deploy multiple smokescreens, helping your team move safely and avoid long-range fire from snipers. Running through the smoke also clears any enemy markers. You can use it instead of a regular Smoke Grenade, but combining both offers even better coverage.
Recon class
Lastly, we have the Recon class. This class is best suited for players who enjoy using sniper rifles, as it provides significant benefits to snipers. However, regardless of your weapon choice, here are some Gadgets you should include in your loadout:
- Recon Drone
- AP Mine
The Recon Drone might not feel like the most impactful choice for your first Gadget, but it’s a great team player. As long as it stays in the air, it continuously reveals enemy positions to your teammates. Plus, it’s a fantastic way to earn extra XP, which can be difficult to get in Battlefield 6. If you enjoy playing as a sniper, the drone is especially useful for finding good targets.
The AP Mine is a great second choice. It’s like a claymore you can place behind you while you’re setting up with a sniper rifle or other long-range weapon. If you hide it well in a spot enemies are likely to run through when trying to get around you, you’re almost certain to get a kill.
