A new mystery is unfolding! The latest installment of Knives Out, titled Wake Up Dead Man, takes place in a church and features a compelling priest character, played by Josh O’Connor (known for Challengers). However, the mystery centers around the death of Monsignor Jefferson Wicks (Josh Brolin), whom O’Connor’s Reverend Jud Duplenticy apparently despised. In the latest trailer, O’Connor’s character insists he’s innocent. The trailer also reveals connections between the characters, including a surprising moment where Glenn Close’s character, Martha Delacroix, is playfully slapped on the rear by groundskeeper Samson Holt (Thomas Haden Church), leading viewers to wonder if they’re working together. Mila Kunis joins the investigation as police officer Geraldine Scott, working alongside Daniel Craig’s Benoit Blanc. Kunis jokingly compares the situation to a Scooby-Doo mystery, prompting Blanc to respond with his signature catchphrase.
Rian Johnson’s new mystery features a great cast including Kerry Washington as lawyer Vera Draven, Jeremy Renner as the town doctor, Nat Sharp, rising star Cailee Spaeny as cellist Simone Vivane, and Daryl McCormack as politician Cy Draven. You can uncover the mystery in theaters on November 26th, or when it starts streaming on Netflix on December 12th. It’s time to put on your detective hat and solve the case!
