Rumors are circulating that singer Sabrina Carpenter might be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), potentially taking on a significant superhero role. This could mark a big crossover for the popular musician into the world of Marvel films.
Sabrina Carpenter rumored for a ‘huge’ Marvel role
A recent post by Marvel insider @MyTimeToShineHello is fueling rumors about who will be cast in future Marvel projects. The insider shared on X (formerly Twitter) that Sabrina Carpenter is being considered for a significant role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and asked fans who they’d like to see her play.
Okay, so it sounds like we’re getting another huge team-up movie – something on the scale of Avengers: Doomsday is apparently in the works. But, and this is interesting, there were whispers back in June that director John Carpenter might be involved with the new X-Men reboot. It’s just a rumor for now, but imagine that happening!
The latest buzz suggests Sabrina Carpenter is a top contender to play Dazzler, a popular mutant character known for turning sound into light. MyTimeToShineHello previously reported that Carpenter has discussed the role of Alison Blaire with Marvel Studios, but there’s been no official confirmation of her casting yet.
Okay, so it sounds like Marvel is finally getting serious about bringing the X-Men back, and now they’re potentially looking at Justin Carpenter for a role. It’s still early days – they haven’t officially started casting yet – but there’s been a lot of buzz about who could play the big characters. I’ve heard names like Harris Dickinson as Cyclops, Margaret Qualley as Rogue, and even Julia Butters as Kitty Pryde floating around. And it doesn’t stop there! Apparently, they’re also considering Trinity Bliss, Javier Bardem, Hunter Schafer, and Ayo Edebiri for parts too. It’s all really exciting to see who they’ll end up choosing!
Sabrina Carpenter is famous for her music, but she’s also built a career as an actress. You might recognize her from movies like Adventures in Babysitting and The Hate U Give, or the Netflix series Tall Girl and the film The Short History of the Long Road.
Marvel is still working on plans to relaunch the X-Men. Jake Schreier, the director of the upcoming Thunderbolts movie, is reportedly being considered to direct the new X-Men project, but Marvel hasn’t announced a release date yet.
