Bellwright Gets Major Update And Sale

This content was created with the support of Valnet Inc., as well as our sponsors, Donkey Crew and Snail Games USA.

Since launching in Early Access in April 2024, Bellwright has quickly become a popular and highly-rated medieval game on Steam, and it’s been a fantastic journey for the development team.

Just like your adventure in the game continues beyond a single moment, our work on Bellwright isn’t finished even though it’s now available. We’re still developing and improving it!

Okay, so I’m super excited because the next big update for the game, called Maiden Voyage, drops on December 9th! It’s going to add a massive new map to explore, plus a whole new part of the story to dive into. And finally – huge win for us console players – full controller support is being added! I can’t wait to check it all out.

From Rags to Riches in Karvenia and Beyond

So, Bellwright dropped in 2024, and honestly, the survival game scene was already pretty crowded with hits like Valheim and Medieval Dynasty. I was surprised, but really glad to see it actually stand out! It just felt good to play – super smooth – and it looked amazing, which definitely helped it grab a lot of us players.

With the “Maiden Voyage” update, players will have much more than just a big map to look at.

The latest Maiden Voyage update introduces a massive new map and continues the game’s story with a brand-new chapter.

The map for the Halmare Isles features caves that add different levels and heights to the gameplay. In addition to the creatures found on Karvenia, players will encounter new types of birds, fish, and goats.

As a player, I’m really excited about the new Faction system! It seems like it’ll make things way more interesting because you’ll have to think carefully about what you do and how it affects your overall strategy. It’s not just about power, but also about making choices that align with your long-term goals.

Bellwright focuses a lot on raiding, so this update includes new ways to protect yourself. You can now build walls around your camps with a new fortification system. A good design will let you guide enemies into traps and defeat them easily, but be warned – the enemy AI has learned how to counter these defenses!

I’m really liking how much more complex the logistics have become with the caravan system! It’s not just about getting stuff from point A to point B anymore. You actually have to protect your shipments from ambushes, which adds a whole new layer of strategy. And the best part? We can actually target their supply lines now! Imagine crippling the enemy before a big battle by raiding their caravans – it’s a game changer!

Bellwright players will find new content in this latest update, and it’s also a great time for new players to jump in! The game is currently 34% off on Steam, bringing the price down to just under $20, and the sale lasts until January 5th.
