Rapper bbno$ discussed his decision to leave music in an interview on the Fear& podcast, explaining his plans for the future and the reasons behind his ‘retirement‘.
bbno$ is a well-known musician who creates energetic songs like ‘Edamame’ and ‘Lalala’. He’s also a frequent presence online, having worked with virtual streamer IronMouse and supported The Streamer Awards both by performing and with financial contributions.
bbno$ is known for being upbeat and involved in social causes, but he’s also faced criticism online, with some people calling his personality awkward or embarrassing. Recently, accusations have surfaced claiming he made offensive racial comments to a former high school classmate.
bbno$ hinted at leaving music by tweeting ‘Thank you for the memories’ on December 8th, which many interpreted as a retirement announcement. He hasn’t publicly confirmed or denied this claim.
He announced in a statement that he’s decided to stop making music, explaining that he’s been listening to his fans. He said many people have asked him to stop, and after considering their requests, he’s made the tough decision to take a break from music for now.

bbno$ says online “negativity” drove him away from music
It’s unclear how serious his announcement is, but he discussed the issue on the December 15th episode of the Fear& podcast. He told hosts Will Neff, AustinShow, Hasan, and QTCinderella that the constant online negativity directed at him and his followers had become overwhelming.
He shared that he’d been experiencing online bullying. He described himself as a generally positive online presence, and explained that he regularly receives messages from dedicated followers who are struggling with negativity and appreciate his uplifting content.
Honestly, I was just thinking, why not take a break? Everything’s good, I’ve accomplished what I set out to do. I’m not sure if I’ll come back to this, and that’s okay. It just hit me that I don’t have to live a ‘normal’ life. I have the freedom to do whatever I feel like, and that’s pretty awesome.

The artist isn’t sure what’s next, but he’s hoping to buy a house and take some time to focus on his own well-being.
He shared that he’s planning to take most of next year off to reflect on what he wants from life. He also expressed a strong desire to buy a house and establish a more settled lifestyle.
The latest online buzz comes from bbno$ after he removed streamer Asmongold from his ‘Mary Poppins’ music video, which he’d created with fellow members of OTK, back in May.
