Players of Battlefield 6 on consoles have been frustrated with the crossplay feature, especially when disabling it to avoid competing against players using mouse and keyboard on PC. They report that turning off crossplay often results in matches filled mostly with computer-controlled opponents (bots), making for a less enjoyable experience.
Battlefield 6 lets players on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox play together. However, EA has confirmed that you can’t limit crossplay to just console players – everyone plays together, regardless of their platform.
Players on social media are reporting that most game lobbies are now filled with computer-controlled bots instead of real people.
Console players say lobbies are full of bots
Many players are upset and have posted evidence online, like videos and pictures, showing that some matches seem to be filled with computer-controlled opponents instead of actual people.

A lot of players reported the issue started when they turned off crossplay, leading to the idea that there weren’t enough people playing to fill matches without including players from all platforms. However, given the high number of players on PC through Steam, it’s probably not a matter of low overall player numbers.
So, it doesn’t matter *why* crossplay isn‘t available between consoles and PC right now, or how many people are affected, but it’s got everyone talking about whether using a mouse and keyboard on PC gives players an unfair edge over those of us using controllers. It’s a big debate!
Not all console players seem to be experiencing issues with lobbies full of bots. If you’re wondering if this is happening to you, check out our guide on turning crossplay on or off.
