Even though Electronic Arts hasn’t released Battlefield 6 yet, they’re already detailing what players can expect after launch – the first season will bring free new maps, game modes, and weapons. These additions will come in packs, scheduled to be released on October 28, November 18, and December 9.
I’m so excited for the first content drop, it’s going to be called Rogue Ops! In October, we’ll be heading to the Blackwell Fields map, which is set in a really cool Californian airbase. It looks like the perfect place for huge battles, especially with all the ground vehicles – I can’t wait to try out the armored APC Traverser Mark 2 and some aircraft! The pack will also include a tactical Strikepoint mode for 2 teams of 4 players, which sounds awesome, and we’re getting new weapons too, like the Mini Fix sniper rifle and the GGH-22 pistol.

Next month, the developers will release the California Resistance pack, which includes a large Eastwood map located in the suburban areas of the American West Coast. A new Sabotage mode will also be available, where two teams of 8 players will take turns trying to destroy and protect objectives. Players will be able to use the DB-12 double-barreled shotgun, the M327 Trait revolver, and powerful, limited-edition weapons that vary depending on the map.

Okay, so the December Winter Offensive pack is coming, and I’m hyped! It’s bringing a new map called Ice Lock Empire State, which is basically a winterized version of a location from Battlefield 6. They’re doing a limited-time update that’s going to make Brooklyn seriously cold, and it’s adding a cool new mechanic where things actually freeze! Plus, we’re getting some up-close and personal action with melee combat – you’ll be able to fight using an ice pick!

Battlefield 6 will launch on October 10 this year on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
