Players of Battlefield 6 are unhappy with a recently released bundle, believing it was made using artificial intelligence.
Artificial intelligence is a major point of debate in the gaming world. Players and developers are currently struggling to agree on how much AI should be used when creating game content. For example, Hideo Kojima has stated he believes AI shouldn’t be used for creating art, and the game Claire Obscur: Expedition 33 recently lost its Indie Game of the Year award because it used assets generated by AI.
Call of Duty has faced criticism lately for how it uses this software, particularly with in-game bundles that require players to spend real money to unlock them.
Okay, so I’m a big Battlefield fan, and I just heard some news that’s pretty frustrating. It looks like they added a paid bundle to the store that seems to have used AI-generated art. A lot of people are upset about it, and honestly, I can see why – it feels a little cheap, you know?
BF6 players slam AI-generated “garbage”
This collectible sticker, included with the Windchill package, depicts a soldier with an Assault Rifle. Fans have noticed something unusual: the rifle, an M4A1, appears to have two barrels and two dust covers, leading many to speculate it was created using artificial intelligence.
Reddit user ‘Willcario’ expressed strong dislike for AI-generated stickers in the game, stating they’d rather have no sticker at all than a poorly made one. They pointed to the BO7 event as an example of how AI-generated rewards weren’t well-received.

Plenty of players were on the same page in the replies.
Players expressed strong dissatisfaction with the quality of recent game content. One player stated they didn’t want any more low-effort additions, and another complained that if they’re paying a premium price, they expect a significant level of effort from developers, not something carelessly put together.
Some people weren’t worried about the AI itself, but were puzzled that a product with such an obvious error made it to market.
One player expressed disbelief, writing, “I can’t believe this made it through all the reviews. Several people must have approved it.”
Someone else wondered how this could keep happening, asking, “Can’t anyone just take a few seconds to check these and make sure they’re not obviously bad?”
The developers of the next Battlefield haven’t confirmed if AI created this sticker, but it certainly seems likely based on how it looks.
