Battlefield 6 Has No Free Trial For Game Pass Ultimate And EA Play Members

A benefit of EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (which includes EA Play) is the ability to try new EA games for up to 10 hours. This lets you test a game out before you buy it. However, not all EA games offer these free trials – for example, the recently released Battlefield 6 is excluded.

The new game was released today, October 10th, and Electronic Arts has confirmed there’s no free trial available. This is a bit different from many of their other games, which usually let you play for up to 10 hours for free. The previous game, Battlefield 2042, offered a 10-hour trial to subscribers of EA Play and Game Pass. However, EA doesn’t promise free trials for all games included with an EA Play subscription – only certain titles qualify.

EA Play doesn’t offer a free trial, but EA Play Pro members ($17 per month) can play the $100 Phantom Edition of Battlefield 6 for free as long as their subscription is active.

Battlefield 6 became incredibly popular on Steam today, reaching over 745,000 players at the same time. This makes it one of the most played games in Steam’s history. However, that number only represents a portion of the total player base, as the game is also available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Battlefield 6 servers are currently handling the large number of players joining, though some players may experience queues. For the latest updates on server status, you can bookmark TopMob’s dedicated Battlefield 6 page.
