Battlefield 6 devs warn players to expect server queues when logging in

Now that Battlefield 6 is finally available, DICE is letting players know to expect some wait times to connect to servers, at least initially.

There’s a lot of excitement surrounding Battlefield 6. The game’s beta test was incredibly popular, and many first-person shooter fans are hoping it will finally provide strong competition to Call of Duty in 2025.

Although the beta test was very popular, many players experienced long wait times to access it due to server queues that often exceeded 200,000 people.

Now that the game has officially launched, the developers have explained they’re using a system to handle the large number of players logging in on day one.

Server queues expected as Battlefield 6 finally launches

Battlefield 6 is now available, launching at 3 PM UTC. Because many players are expected to log in at the same time, the developers are using a queue system to help keep the login process smooth and stable, especially during peak hours.

Here’s a quick update about potential login queues as we get ready to launch Battlefield 6 later today.

Battlefield 6 is coming out at 3:00 PM UTC, and we expect a lot of players will try to log in right when it launches.

It’s now typical to see waiting lines, or queues, when trying to join online games, particularly when a new game is released. These queues help control how many players enter the game at once, making sure the game servers don’t get overloaded.

This helps prevent you from getting stuck in slow-loading games or losing connection, though it might take a bit more time to start playing.

During the game’s testing phase, players sometimes waited over an hour to connect before the server’s capacity was expanded. Now, with the full launch, players are hoping the wait times won’t be nearly as long.
