Since 2014, DC Comics has honored the legacy of Batman with a yearly Batman Day celebration. This year, Batman Day 2025 is happening, and it’s set to be the largest celebration yet.
The first Batman Day was celebrated on July 23, 2014, during the San Diego Comic Con and marked the 75th anniversary of Batman’s comic book debut. Since then, it’s typically been held on a Saturday in September. In 2025, Batman Day will be on Saturday, September 20th.
What can you get on Batman Day 2025?
For Batman Day 2025, participating comic book stores will have exclusive comics available. Highlights include new printings of Absolute Batman #1, with options for blank sketch covers and foil variants. An extra-large, black and white special edition of DC W.I.P.: Absolute Batman #1 will also be available, along with reprints of classic issues like Batman and Robin Year One #1, Batman: Year Two #1, and the very first Batman comic from 1940. Fans can also enjoy a selection of free Batman comics on DC Universe Infinite as part of the celebration.
I’m so excited for Batman Day 2025! As a gamer, I know we’re all going to love the new Batman content coming to our favorite games. In Injustice 2 and DC Worlds Collide, we’ll get special events where we can actually unlock Batman to join our teams! And if you have a WB Games account, you’ll be able to snag a cool Golden Age Batman skin for the new LEGO Batman game, Legacy of the Dark Knight. It’s going to be an awesome celebration!
Batman fans in the Los Angeles area will get a unique opportunity to celebrate Batman Day in 2025 with a special event at Warner Bros. Studio Tour. The tour will showcase a collection of costumes, props, and vehicles from various Batman films. To cap off the experience, attendees will enjoy a screening of Batman Forever, introduced by producer Michael Uslan.
Throughout September, the DC Shop will be releasing new Batman merchandise. This includes toys from companies like Spin Master, Mattel, and LEGO. You can find a complete list of what’s available on DC’s Batman website.
