Baby mobs are coming to Minecraft in next update

The next Minecraft update will introduce cute baby versions of popular animals, adding even more life to your game worlds.

Minecraft is constantly evolving with new creatures like the Nautilus and Sniffer, and even tweaks to existing ones like the Happy Ghast and Zombie Horse. Each update brings more content, and this one might be the most charming yet – even more so than the already adorable Happy Ghast!

Minecraft’s upcoming update will introduce baby versions of many of the game’s friendly animals! Players will be able to find, tame, and care for these smaller creatures.

How to spawn baby mobs

In Minecraft, you can create a baby animal or creature by using a spawn egg on an adult of the same type. The baby will look just like its parent.

You can also breed the creatures you like to create a cute baby version, which is a great way to get a new one without needing a spawn egg.

When are baby mobs coming to Minecraft?

The new baby creatures aren’t available in the full version of Minecraft just yet. You can only find them in the Java Snapshot or Bedrock preview/beta versions. While there’s no official release date, we expect they’ll be included in the next big update, likely in March, as major updates usually come out every three months.

To try out the Snapshot, open your Minecraft Launcher and turn on Snapshots in the Installations section. If you’re playing Bedrock, download the Minecraft Preview from the launcher and start it. Then, create a new world and have fun with all the baby animals!
