When you summoned countless divine entities back to their origin, many were exempted. Spared. Now, for those of us who are left behind, what is your message? Are we destined to perform a grand act in your name? Are we meant to live out our days as ordinary beings, bereft of your affection? Or are we to patiently wait for the time when we too will be summoned?
Standing upon the summit of Ukaizo once filled me with a sense of divine proximity unparalleled. However, currently, it seems as though the deities have never been farther away.
Tekēhu Wasn’t Recalled By Ondra/Ngati
One intriguing fact that emerged is that Tekēhu was considered a godlike being, who could not be summoned by Ondra again. This has left him feeling lonely and searching for purpose after his journeys with the Watcher. In other words, he’s still out there in the world of Eora somewhere – perhaps one day our paths will cross once more!
In addition, we discover that he has assumed the role of the Grand Shaper of Waters, providing us with an intriguing perspective on the fate of the Watershapers Guild. The story unfolds differently based on your decisions in Deadfire, and it’s clear that one outcome – his absence from the guild – is not among them. However, there are four possible outcomes: he may have attempted to revive the guild but faced difficulties in instructing other acolytes, the guild could have entered a state of permanent decay, or Tekēhu could have adopted the ancient traditions of the guild as revealed at Ondra’s Spire.
Based on his mention of joining the Watcher on a journey to Ukaizo, home of Ondra’s Spire, it appears probable that he adhered to tradition and the guild is flourishing.
