Instead, they’ll be alternate versions from a different reality. Perez says this reality experienced events similar to those in the original X-Men trilogy and Days of Future Past.

Perez points out that the world depicted in the story is a seemingly perfect society where humans and mutants live together peacefully. However, he emphasizes that the story heavily focuses on the difficult choices and sacrifices made to achieve that peace, and that’s a key theme in Doomsday.

The central theme of Doomsday, according to writer Perez, revolves around the sacrifices people make for the greater good.
