Kelsey Grammer excited for his Avengers: Doomsday return, says Beast is ‘man of great character’

I was so excited to hear Kelsey Grammer talk about reprising his role as Beast for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’! He recently shared with Screen Rant what it meant to him to step back into that role, and it was really interesting to hear his perspective.

Kelsey Grammer was confirmed to be in the movie in March 2025. The actor, known for his role in Frasier, shared his excitement about working with his former X-Men colleagues and admitted he isn’t completely familiar with the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe developments. He said, “I haven’t been able to follow everything, and I’m not sure what’s going on with some of it, but it was a real pleasure to rejoin the team.”

He described the experience as very casual and disconnected, explaining that people would come and go for short periods, making it difficult to build strong working relationships on set. Despite this, he called Marvel a remarkable franchise and expressed his pleasure at being asked to return.

Grammer expressed his pleasure at appearing in The Marvels, saying he was very honored to be included. He feels Beast is a fantastic character and a genuinely good person, making him a joy to portray. He described Beast as a man of strong moral principles, even comparing him to Martin Luther King Jr. within the mutant community – someone who will always fight for what’s right, even if it means making a significant sacrifice.

Grammer also said that while he’s always looking for new and challenging roles, returning to play Beast is something he genuinely loves and feels incredibly lucky to do. He’s really enthusiastic about it.
