I recently discovered His House, and I’m completely blown away! It’s Remi Weekes’ first feature film, and it somehow managed a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes – incredible! It came out in 2020, right when everything was shutting down because of COVID, so it didn’t get the attention it deserved. But honestly, I think it’s one of the best horror movies of the last ten years. The performances by Sope Dirisu, Wunmi Mosaku, and even Matt Smith (who you might know from House of the Dragon) are fantastic. It’s a really personal and scary story, and if you enjoyed Sinners, I think you’ll absolutely love this.
